at Alamodome, San Antonio

Thursday’s semifinals 

Class 1A

New Castle (33-1) vs. Westbrook (28-9), 8:30 a.m.

Humble Summer Creek (35-3) vs. Duncanville (33-4), 7 p.m.

South Grand Prairie (32-3) vs. Northside Brennan (32-3), 8:30 p.m.

From 2010–2014, he covered high school and collegiate athletics across the Texas Panhandle before transitioning from television to print journalism.
