Positioning is the name of the game in this one, as both teams have clinched playoff spots, and this is the final regular season game for Randall. If the Raiders win and Canyon beats Dumas, they’ll clinch the district’s No. 2 playoff seed, and with a win and a Canyon loss, Randall will still have a shot at the No. 1 seed. With a win, Hereford would also remain mathematically alive for a district title but would need some help to get it. Randall needs to shake that lopsided loss to Canyon ISD rival Canyon last week to move forward, giving the Raiders an edge. … Randall 21, Hereford 17

The math is pretty simple for Canyon, as the Eagles will clinch the district’s No. 1 seed with a victory with one game left in the regular season. Dumas can still get a No. 1 district seed with a victory, but like Hereford, the Demons would need a lot of things to fall right for that to happen. Either way, both teams are going to the playoffs and have incentive to play well. Another game which is pretty much about positioning, as the winner will have a shot at the district’s No. 2 seed and the loser will likely settle for the No. 4 seed, so there is something at stake even though both teams are already in the playoffs. They enter this game from opposite directions, as Borger rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat Levelland and Perryton was routed at district champ West Plains. Being back home will benefit Perryton in what should feel like a playoff game between two evenly matched teams. … Perryton 30, Borger 20
