Tascosa got started early at Palo Duro and never trailed, taking an early lead and coasting to a 9-4 victory. With the win the Rebels (11-14, 3-6 in district) moved into sole possession of fourth place in the district and are in position to take the district’s final playoff spot.
The Rebels scored in each of the first three innings to take a 4-0 lead. Palo Duro (12-12, 3-4) answered with two runs in the bottom of the third to cut it to 4-2, but that’s as close as the Dons got.
Tascosa put the game away with four runs in the top of the seventh. The Rebels had 14 hits as Will David and Jay Adams both had three hits. Levi Homen drove in three runs. Ryne Wingate pitched six innings and picked up the win for Tascosa, striking out nine.
Tascosa is alone in fourth since Caprock lost to Plainview 4-0. The Longhorns dropped to 4-18-1 and 2-7 in district, dropping to fifth place.

Randall rolls over West Plains, stays unbeaten in district
The beat went on for the Randall Raiders, as they stayed unbeaten in district by beating new Canyon ISD team West Plains for the second time this season, 9-1.
Randall (23-3, 9-0) took a 2-1 lead with a run in the bottom of the second, but broke it open with four runs in the bottom of the third. Leadoff hitter Payton Bush paced Randall at the plate with two hits and two RBIs.
Duncan Bowles dominated on the mound for the Raiders, giving up only two hits and an unearned run to West Plains (14-10, 4-5). He struck out eight in throwing a complete game.
Canyon crushes Borger
Canyon stayed alone in second place in district by dominating Borger in every conceivable fashion for a 17-0 five-inning 10-run mercy rule win.
The Eagles (17-6, 7-2) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first. They attained the run-rule margin with 11 runs in the top of the third.
Christian McGuire led Canyon’s offense by going 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs. Zabien Urteaga drove in three runs and Sam Johnson and Cutter Livermore both drove in two. Borger (4-18, 0-9) managed only one single off three Canyon pitchers.

River Road coach scores milestone win
Coach Bart Upchurch hit a career landmark in most impressive fashion, as River Road crushed Tulia 16-1 in a five-inning run-rule win, giving Upchurch his 200th career victory.
River Road (10-9, 3-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first and led 10-0 after three. Tulia (5-15, 0-5) scored a run in the top of the fourth, but the Wildcats answered back with six runs in the bottom of the inning to clinch the run-rule margin.
Bushland scores another run-rule win
The Bushland Falcons completed the first half of district play with their fifth straight run-rule win, as they beat Dalhart 22-0 in five innings.
Josh Bass, who was the winning pitcher, was also 3-for-3 at the plate with a homer and three RBIs. Jaxon Fetsch and Breckan Adams both also had three hits and drove in three runs for Bushland (18-3, 5-0).
Dalhart (7-5, 2-3) became the fourth straight opponent Bushland has shut out, as Bushland pitchers have thrown 24 straight scoreless innings in district play.
