Cason Mackie, Spearman, RB, Sr.
Mackie had arguably his best game of the season for Spearman in a 21-7 upset of District 4-3A Division II champion Abernathy on Friday. Behind a strong effort from the offensive line, Mackie carried the load from the running back and Wildcat position carrying the ball 24 times for 101 yards and scored all three Spearman touchdowns.
Jmaury Davis, Clarendon, RB, Sr.
The Texas Tech commit was unstoppable leading Clarendon to a bi-district win over Gruver 47-20 on Thursday night. Davis ran right through the Greyhound defense for 275 yards on only 15 touches with four touchdowns and played a major factor on the defensive side.
Riley Davis, Randall, RB, Sr.
Davis continues his superb season and did his job in the Raiders 31-7 victory against Springtown in a bi-district clash. Davis was called upon 28 times rushing for 121 yards with a touchdown in the winning effort.
Jameson Garcia, Amarillo High, WR, Sr.
Garcia showed off his Division I talent during the Sandies 38-20 road win against El Paso Parkland in the bi-district round. The explosive receiver snagged six catches for 87 yards highlighted by a tremendous one-handed catch on a 50-yard touchdown catch.
Reid Macon, West Plains, QB, Fr.
It’s hard to call Macon a freshman any more especially with the type of performance he had leading West Plains to the programs first ever playoff win 56-7 over Pecos. Macon was deadly accurate picking a part the Pecos secondary going 18-of-19 for 215 yards with three touchdowns.
Luke Schulte, Nazareth, SB, Sr.
The senior do-it-all talent was the difference in Nazareth’s hard fought 40-24 win over Follett in Friday’s bi-district round. Using his legs most of the night, Schulte showed how dangerous he could be rushing for an impressive 349 yards on 27 carries with a pair of touchdowns.
Armando Lujan, Sunray, QB, Soph.
The sensational sophomore keeps throwing up ridiculous numbers up each and every week and it happened once again in the Bobcats 53-35 win against Shamrock on Friday. Lujan was stellar going 35-of-46 for a new school record 504 yards with four touchdown passes. If that wasn’t enough, he ran the ball 11 times for 41 yards with four more TDs, combining for eight touchdowns on the night.
Daniel Sianez, Muleshoe, RB, Jr.
Trailing 24-0 in the second quarter, Muleshoe erased that deficit in a hurry scoring 40 points in six minutes to take a 40-24 halftime lead that resulted in a 47-37 victory against Brownfield. Sianez played a big role in the offensive production putting up 159 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown.
Camden Sperry, Happy, QB, Sr.
Happy opened what they hope is a deep playoff push dismantling Miami 46-0 on Friday. Sperry, who doesn’t get to air it out enough because of the Cowboys strong run game, was efficient in the win completing 5-of-9 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns.
Colt Cruth, Canyon, RB, Soph.
Cruth is the latest running back Canyon has developed since losing quarterback Derrek Clements to injury. The junior led a strong ground attack in the Eagles 42-14 win over Burkburnett piling up 122 yards on 16 carries.
