James Bednorz, Dumas, RB, Sr.

Dumas is on to the third round of the playoffs in as many years, and Bednorz is a key piece to the reason. The senior running back showed his toughness during a 31-6 win against Fort Stockton rushing for 99 yards on 18 carries.

Major Everhart, Tascosa, QB, Sr.

For the second week in a row Everhart put on a show. The TCU commit took the offense into his own hands in the second half of Tascosa’s 31-24 win over Burleson Centennial. Playing at QB once again, Everhart toted the rock 28 times for 290 yards with three touchdown runs of 20 yards or more.

Keeton Githens, Canadian, RB, Fr.

The freshman gave a nice compliment to teammate Luke Flowers, as the duo chewed up Sonora, 56-13. Githens was exceptional scoring a career-best three touchdowns, adding 80 yards rushing on only nine carries.

Dru Jones, Stratford, RB-WR, Sr.

The senior found multiple ways to hurt Seagraves during a 48-3 route Thursday.

Jones totaled three catches for 86 yards with a pair of touchdowns, adding 52 yards rushing on seven carries for two more scores.

Ridge Holland, Gruver, RB, Jr.

Holland ignited a potent Gruver run game in a 34-12 blowout of New Home. The junior stacked up a game-high 123 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown.

Wellington’s offensive line

The Skyrockets dominated McCamey up front behind the play of — junior center Blake Strickland, junior guard Rey Ramirez, sophomore guard Fabian Pina, and senior tackles, Antonio Rodriguez, Willy Olvera, Nicholas Self. Thanks to this group, Wellington Mashed McCamey for 400 total rushing yards.

Marc Ramirez, Wellington, RB, Sr.

Behind the amazing effort of his offensive line, Ramirez punished McCamey with his aggressive run style carrying the ball 21 times for 188 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Pace Bressler, Happy, RB, Jr.

Bressler left it all on the field to help Happy take down rival Borden County, 61-35, on Friday. Bressler finished the night leading the Happy rushing attack with 273 yards rushing on 21 carries. He was also 3-of-3 through the air for 60 yards and a score.

Jaxon Edwards & Blake Beard, Valley, RB

Edwards and Beard combined to amass 455 yards and six touchdowns during Valley’s 66-54 win over Spur. Edwards piled up five scores on 237 yards with 17 carries, while Beard piled up 218 yards on 13 totes, and a TD.

Jameson Garcia, Amarillo High, WR, Jr.

Despite a loss to Colleyville Heritage, 31-10, Garcia gave it his best shot snagging six catches for 54 yards. Garcia will return as one of the top players for the Sandies next season.
