The High School district soccer season picked back up over the weekend after missing most of the week due to the inclement weather across the Texas Panhandle.

District 3-5A, and 4-4A are now in full swing with games being played on Friday and Saturday. Here’s a look at who made the biggest impact, and the standings after a busy weekend.

Top performers

Amarillo High’s Braeden Williams tallied two goals with an assist as the Sandies blanked rival Tascosa, 4-0 Saturday. AHS stayed unbeaten on the year at 6-0-1, and moved to 2-0 in District 3-5A.

Palo Duro’s Jaimie Carillo scored two goals and dished out an impressive three assists to help the Dons past Randall, 5-2. The Dons bounced back from a district-opening loss to Amarillo High, improving to 9-1 overall and 1-1 in district

The Borger Bulldogs had a hot start to 4-4A action nabbing a pair of wins against Canyon, and Dumas. Julio Tarango did the most damage for Borger racking up a hat trick with two assists in a 6-0 win against Canyon on Friday. Tarango netted another goal in a 2-0 victory against Dumas on Saturday.

The Randall girls are 3-0 in District 3-5A after a pair of wins over the weekend. The Lady Raiders shutout Palo Duro 7-0 on Friday, followed up by a 4-2 win against Caprock on Saturday. Kealy Juarez scored two goals with an assist over the two wins, as teammate Naleigh Martinez also netted two goals with an assist.
