Randall jumped all over Lubbock High from the start and never looked back whipping the Westerners 59-0 on Friday night at PlainsCapital Park at Lowrey Field in Lubbock.
The Raiders rolled out of the gate to a 28-0 first quarter lead highlighted by Braden Beck 11-yard touchdown run, and a Steven Rodriguez 7-yard touchdown scamper.
Randall poured it on in the second quarter on another Beck TD, followed by a pair of scores by Nathan Baker, as the Raiders took a commanding 49-0 lead into halftime.
LHS (2-2) had absolutely no answer for Randall’s run game. Randall tallied 336 of its 509 yards on the ground led by Beck’s six carries for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Rodriguez added 72 yards on seven carries with a score.
The Raiders defense did its job limiting LHS to 57 total yards on offense.
Randall improves to 2-2 on the year and will open District 3-5A Division II play at home with Lubbock Cooper (3-1) on Friday.

Mistakes doom Caprock in loss to Coyotes
Self-inflicted wounds continued to hurt Caprock at home against Wichita Falls, as the Longhorns again hurt themselves with penalties and turnovers in a loss at Dick Bivins Stadium in their final game before starting District 2-5A Division I play.
Caprock (1-3) threw three interceptions and lost three fumbles for a whopping six turnovers, while Wichita Falls (1-1) didn’t give the ball away once. Combined with last week’s 40-14 loss to Dumas, the Longhorns have committed 11 turnovers in their last two games.
Eli Martinez was a bright spot offensively for Caprock, as he had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Longhorns committed nine penalties for 90 yards.
Ryan Murdock led Wichita Falls by throwing for 273 yards and three touchdowns.

Perryton stays hot against Levelland
After an 0-4 start to the year the Perryton Rangers have seemed to have put it all together.
Perryton beat Levelland in all phases of the game for a key District 2-4A Division II victory, 34-7, Friday night at Rangers Stadium.
It’s the second straight win for first-year head coach Kurt Haberthur and his team, who improves to 2-4 overall but most importantly 1-0 in district play.
For a second straight week Perryton’s defense was the story. The Rangers were smothering throughout the contest holding the Lobos to 138 total yards, 28 of those rushing.
On the offense side of the ball the Rangers only threw two passes using a strong effort from their offensive line and powerful ground game. Perryton chewed up chewed up 292 yards on the ground behind Jahir Romero and Brenton Heeter.
Romero found pay dirt three times for Perryton, totaling 125 yards on 19 carries. Heeder had a game-high 126 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown of his own.
Perryton (2-4, 1-0) travels to face Lubbock Estacado (2-6, 1-1) on Friday.

Borger snaps long losing skid stunning Estacado
A long unwanted losing streak finally came to an end for the Borger Bulldogs at home Friday night in a District 2-4A Division II matchup against preseason favorite Lubbock Estacado.
The Bulldogs said goodbye to a 15-game losing skid dating back to last season with a thrilling 23-20 win at Bulldogs Stadium.
Prior to Friday, Borger’s last victory came against Lubbock High, 33-23, on Sept. 6, 2019.
The Bulldogs held a 16-7 halftime lead only to the Matadors rally to take a 20-16 advantage into the fourth quarter. But like they did most of the game the Bulldogs defense made plays at key times. With three minutes remaining senior defensive back Hunter Wilkinson picked off a pass and returned for the eventual game-winning touchdown 5-yards that helped Borger preserve a huge district win. Wilkinson had a career-night for his team against the Matadors racking up 25 tackles, 11 of which came in the first half. The senior leader also forced two forced fumbles and two interceptions including the pick-six late.
Borger (1-7, 1-1) enters a bye week. Estacado (2-6, 1-1) travels to Levelland on Friday.

Dumas downs Plainview
Dumas stayed strong at home making quick work of the Plainview Bulldogs, 42-8, on Friday night at Demons Stadium.
Dumas pushes its home winning streak to 13 straight games while finishing the nondistrict schedule at 6-1 overall. The Demons open a very competitive District 3-4A Division I schedule at Hereford (3-3) at next week.
Running back Jacob Mares and quarterback Spencer Williams were superb in the victory against the Bulldogs.
Mares piled up 116 yards on 14 carries with three touchdowns. Williams threw a touchdown, completing 8-of-10 passes for 76 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball linebacker Cade Cox racked up eight total tackles, two of which were for a loss.
