District 2-5A Division I

Who’s in: Tascosa, Lubbock-Cooper, Abilene High

Who’s alive: Caprock, Amarillo High, Lubbock Coronado

Who’s out: Lubbock Monterey

Tascosa (8-1, 5-0): Already the district’s No. 1 seed, Rebels will clinch first outright district championship since 1988 by beating Lubbock Coronado on Thursday.

Lubbock-Cooper (7-2. 4-1): Has clinched the No. 2 playoff seed.

Abilene High (4-6, 3-3): Eagles have finished regular season and clinched a playoff berth. Will take the No. 3 seed if Amarillo High loses to Lubbock Monterey on Thursday.

Caprock (5-4, 2-3): Longhorns are eliminated with a loss to Cooper on Friday or an Amarillo High victory. They’ll get the No. 4 seed if they win and make the postseason.

Amarillo High (4-5, 2-3): Sandies will be in at the end of Thursday night if they win and Tascosa beats Coronado. If that happens, they’ll be the No. 3 seed. If not, best-case scenario is No. 4 seed via points tiebreakers.

Lubbock Coronado (3-6, 2-3): Mustangs are eliminated with a loss and/or an Amarillo High win. The best they can hope for with a win over Tascosa is to get the No. 4 seed if both Amarillo High and Caprock lose.

District 2-5A Division II

Who’s in: Abilene Wylie, Wichita Falls Rider, Abilene Cooper

Who’s alive: Plainview, Palo Duro

Who’s out: Lubbock High

Abilene Wylie (6-3, 4-0): A win over Abilene rival Cooper will give Wylie the outright district crown and No. 1 playoff seed. The worst the Bulldogs can finish is in third if they lose to Cooper by more than 15 points.

Wichita Falls Rider (6-3, 3-1): Rider will finish no lower than the district’s No. 2 playoff seed with a victory over Lubbock. Raiders will take the No. 1 seed if Cooper beats Wylie as well.

Abilene Cooper (5-4, 3-1): A win over Rider and a very unlikely Rider loss to Lubbock would give the Cougars the No. 1 seed. Otherwise, it would appear that even with a win they’ll likely get no better than the No. 2 seed.

Plainview (3-6, 1-3): Bulldogs will get the No. 4 seed if they beat Palo Duro.

Palo Duro (2-7, 1-3): Dons will get the No. 4 seed if they beat Plainview. Pretty simple, huh?

District 3-4A Division I

Who’s in: Randall, Canyon

Who’s alive: Dumas, Pampa, Hereford

Who’s out: Nobody

Randall (7-3, 3-1): Raiders clinched the No. 1 seed two weeks ago and are open this week. Now they have to bounce back from a loss to winless Hereford to get ready for the postseason.

Canyon (8-1, 2-1): Eagles will clinch the No. 2 seed by beating Pampa. But a loss would drop them to No. 3 or perhaps even 4, depending on what happens with the Dumas-Hereford game.

Dumas (5-4, 1-2): Demons are in with a win over Hereford and would be no worse than the No. 3 seed. If they win and Pampa beats Canyon, they could get the No. 2 seed depending on points. If Dumas loses and Pampa wins, the Demons are eliminated.

Pampa (5-4, 1-2): Harvesters are in with a win over Canyon and get could the No. 2 seed. But if they lose and Hereford beats Dumas, they’re eliminated. Pampa will make it with a loss if Dumas wins.

Hereford (1-8, 1-2): The Herd seems inexplicably alive after shocking Randall last week and will make it if they beat Dumas. Hereford can’t get any higher than the No. 3 seed and is the only team automatically eliminated with a loss.

District 2-4A Division II

Who’s in: Seminole, West Plains, Perryton, Levelland

Who’s out: Borger

Seminole (8-1, 3-0): Indians will claim the No. 1 seed by beating Perryton. A loss could drop them to the No. 3 seed depending on the points tiebreaker.

West Plains (5-4, 2-1): The Wolves go into the final week of their first regular season knowing they’re a playoff team. They’ll be no worse than the No. 3 seed and a win over Borger and a Seminole win over Perryton will land them the No. 2 seed.

Perryton (3-6, 2-1): Rangers will be the No. 1 seed if they beat Seminole and Borger beats West Plains. A loss and they’ll be the No. 3 seed.

Levelland (2-8, 1-3): Drew the open week to end the regular season and will be the No. 4 seed.

District 2-3A Division I

Who’s in: Shallowater, Bushland, Muleshoe, Dalhart

Who’s out: River Road

Shallowater (8-1, 3-0): Clinches the outright district title with a win at River Road.

Bushland (9-1, 3-1): Are locked in as the No. 2-seed.

Muleshoe (6-3, 1-2): Takes the No. 3-seed with a home win over Dalhart.

Dalhart (4-4, 1-2): Will be the No. 3-seed with a road win at Muleshoe.

District 3-3A Division II

Childress (5-4, 3-1): Claims the No. 2-seed with a home win against Friona.

Friona (5-4, 3-1): Clinches the No. 2-seed with a road win at Childress.

Tulia (3-6, 1-3): Are in the playoffs with a victory on the road against Spearman. A loss ends the season.

Spearman (2-7, 1-3): Are playoff bound if they beat Tulia at home. A loss ends the season.

Who’s alive: Highland Park, Sanford-Fritch

Who’s out: West Texas High

Farwell (8-1, 3-1): Will be the No. 2-seed with a win at Panhandle.

Panhandle (7-2, 3-1): Clinches the No. 2-seed if they beat Farwell.

Highland Park (2-7, 1-3): Are in the playoffs with a home victory over Sanford-Fritch. A loss ends the season.

Sanford-Fritch (1-8, 1-3): Will be playoff bound with a win at Highland Park. A loss ends the season.

District 1-2A Division II

Who’s in: Sunray, Vega, Gruver

Who’s alive: Booker, Boys Ranch

Sunray (8-1, 3-0): Clinches the outright district championship and No. 1-seed with a victory at Vega.
