Avian Cruz, West Texas High, Jr. QB

The prolific dual-threat quarterback did it more with his feet than his arm leading the Comanches to a shootout 74-46 win against Gruver. Cruz shredded the Greyhounds for 372 yards rushing with six touchdowns, as well as a passing TD.

Jackson Espe, Bushland, Sr. DE

Bushland’s defense was menacing during a 38-0 blanking of Borger recording 12 total sacks. But it was Jackson Espy’s performance that stood out. The senior was flat out tenacious setting a new school record for sacks with six.

Dumas’ defense

It’s hard to highlight one player when a unit blanks a team a classification higher than they are. The Dumas defense stifled Wichita Falls High in a hard fought 7-0 win Friday. The Demons held the Coyotes to just 120 total yards and eight first downs.

Xavier Gonzalez, Hereford, Sr. RB

For the second time in three weeks Gonzalez has paved the way to a Hereford Victory. In the Whitefaces 30-14 win over Randall, the tough running senior carried it 33 times for 165 yards.

Zach Wood, Panhandle, Jr. WR

Wood was a part of an offensive explosion for the Panthers against Childress in a 54-8 win. Wood finished the game with four catches for 133 yards and a score.
