Major Everhart, Tascosa, Jr. RB-DB

The dynamic Everhart was all over the field making plays during Tascosa’s 40-18 thumping of Odessa Permian. The explosive junior had a 95-yard second half kickoff return for a touchdown, an interception on defense and made the most two carries for 55 yards.

Blake Wilhelm, Canyon, Sr. LB

Wilhelm turned the tides for the Eagles in a huge 45-14 win at Andrews. The seniors third quarter 60-yard pick-six gave Canyon the lead for good and shifted the momentum. To to with his big INT, Wilhelm added 10 tackles with a sack.

Luke Laminack, Amarillo High, Jr. K

The junior made his one kick on the night count in the biggest of ways. Called up with time running out against Randall, and the game tied, 21-21, Laminack drilled a game-winning 42-yard field goal that lifted Amarillo High to a thrilling 24-21 win over its Bell Street rival.

Justin Martinez, Pampa, So. DB

Martinez was called up from JV just over a week ago and is already making a name for himself. During a 56-13 blowout of Palo Duro, Martinez scooped up two blocked punts for touchdowns.

Kash Bradley, Bushland, Jr. WR-DB

The only thing Bradley didn’t do in a 63-0 district rout of Muleshoe was sell popcorn at halftime. Other than that it was a career-night for the junior. Bradley hauled in four catches for 79 yards with a pair of scores, had a 40-yard rushing touchdown, threw for a TD and returned an interception 65-yards for another score.

Jacob Mares, Dumas, Sr. RB

Mares helped carry the offense with a team-high 118 yards rushing, made an 18-yard touchdown reception and added a 46-yard second half punt return.

Jahir Romero, Perryton, Sr. LB

Perryton earned its first win under head coach Kurt Haberthur blanking Alpine 14-0. The Rangers limited Alpine to 50 yards behind Romero’s 13 tackles, nine of those solo, and four for a loss.

Jacob Bautista, Friona, Jr. RB-DB

Bautista is back to full strength and showing by leading thme Chieftains to a key 49-16 District 3-3A Division II win against Tulia. The speedy junior was dominant carrying the ball seven times for 135 yards and two scores. He even added a 70-yard interception return for his third touchdown in the second quarter.

Dairan DeLaRosa, Bovina, So. RB-LB

The Mustangs snapped a four-game losing skid by getting a huge district opening win against Sudan 25-21. De LaRosa had an unbelievable performance recovering two fumbles for touchdowns on defense, snagging a 21-yard TD pass and rushing for the eventual game-winning score.

Braedon Williams, Groom, Sr. RB

The Groom Tigers are gaining momentum by the week, and carried into a 90-40 beating of Springlake-Earth on Thursday. Williams was a force piling up 131 yards on 15 totes with five rushing touchdowns.
