District 4-4A
Pampa continues to be a team of resisillance showing that cardiac spirit through district play once again as the Harvesters scored three runs in their final at-bat to stun Dumas with a 6-5 home victory on Thursday afternoon.
The Harvesters trailed 5-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh. The rally started on an RBI double from Jarren Hill scoring Max Neff cutting the deficit at 5-4. Brooks Barton followed with a double of his own plating Hill tying the game up at 5-5. The comeback was complete moments later when Noah Anguiano was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded scoring Isaiah Anguiano for the win.

Hill was 2-for-4 on the day with two RBIs. Barton threw six innings allowing three runs with nine strikeouts. With the victory, Pampa (11-9-1) is tied for third place in District 4-4A with a 7-5 mark.
Randall moved closer to making sure that all three Canyon ISD teams would make the playoffs, as the Raiders scored three runs in the top of the seventh to win a 16-13 slugfest at Hereford and remain tied for third in the district.
Randall (16-9-1, 7-5) is tied with Pampa for third in the district and the Raiders now need only a win over Perryton next week or one more loss by Hereford (13-12-1, 5-7) to clinch a playoff spot.
The victory over Hereford was a stark contrast to the first meeting between the two teams, which the Whitefaces won 1-0 at Randall. After three innings in the rematch, the Raiders led 7-0.
Randall never trailed, but Hereford twice rallied to tie the game, scoring six in the bottom of the fourth to tie it 10-10, and three in the sixth to make it 13-13. But with two outs in the top of the seventh, Randall’s Collin Miller belted a bases-loaded double to give the Raiders a three-run lead.
Adam Trevino retired the side in a scoreless seventh to earn the win for the Raiders.
Both Miller and Trevino drove in four runs for Randall, who racked up 22 hits. Every hitter in Randall’s starting lineup had a hit and five of them had at least three.
Hereford’s Tell Bryant hit two home runs and drove in five runs.
District 3-5A
The Tascosa Rebels kept their postseason hopes alive Thursday by routing Amarillo ISD rival Palo Duro 10-0 in a five-inning 10-run mercy rule decision at home.
Tascosa (14-10, 7-7) took a 1-0 lead on Jude Cunningham’s RBI single in the bottom of the first and the Rebels scored in each of their four innings at bat. They scored five in the fourth for the run-rule margin. Cunningham started the scoring with a two-run triple, and Charlie McKinney concluded it with a two-run homer.
McKinney was the winning pitcher, going all five innings and scattering four hits while striking out seven.
Also on Thursday, Caprock saw a rough season come to an end with a 10-6 loss to Plainview at home. The Longhorns (1-27, 1-15) were three outs away from ending their season with a win, but Plainview scored six runs in the top of the seventh to take a 10-3 lead.
Caprock answered back in the bottom of the inning by drawing back-to-back bases loaded walks to cut the deficit to four runs but got no closer.
District 1-3A
In a first for the program, the Bushland Falcons suffered a season series loss to Dalhart on Thursday, losing 7-6 for their second district loss to the Wolves in three game this season.
Bushland (13-10, 8-2) had already clinched a playoff spot and remains in sole possession of the district lead, a half-game ahead of Dalhart (10-8, 7-2). The Falcons beat Dalhart 20-1 in their first meeting, but lost the second one 6-5.
Dalhart scored five runs in the bottom of the first to take a 5-2 lead, aided by two Bushland errors, and the Wolves never trailed again.
In the sixth inning, Bushland’s Reece Melban hit a two-run homer to cut it to 7-5, and with two outs in the seventh, Wade McConnell cut the lead to a single run with an RBI double. However, Elliott Hemphill grounded out to end the game.
Dalhart’s Braxton Akin hit a solo homer in the fifth which proved to be the difference.
Childress remained in third place taming Tulia 15-4 at home Friday. Cash Hightower had an excellent showing going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. He also worked two innings of relief allowing two hits. Drake Rabe got the win on the hill tossing four innings with three strikeouts. The Bobcats are now 11-10-1 overall and 5-5 in district play.
District 1-2A
Gruver remains unbeatable in District 1-2A as the Greyhounds picked up another lopsided win against West Texas High 16-1 on Thursday at home.
The Greyhounds are rolling at 13-0 on the year and 8-0 in league play. Jett Pittman hat the hot bat going 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Stephen Cowan solo homer and a triple on the afternoon. Briggs Satterfield worked four innings for the win with six strikeouts.
Sunray stays in second place of District 1-2A blasting Highland Park 18-0 at home Friday. Valen Swinford tripled and doubled finishing the game with a pair of RBIs. Mason Gray added two triples for three runs driven in. The Bobcats are now 4-2 in district and 10-3 on the year.
District 2-2A
Wellington remained atop of District 2-2A earning a hard fought 6-4 victory against rival Clarendon on Friday afternoon.
The Skyrockets (8-5) are now 7-1 in district after the win. Clarendon (9-10) drops to 6-3 in the league. Alex Orozco went five innings for the overcoming seven walks with 11 K’s. Orozco was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Major Brown also doubled with an RBI.
