
FRIDAY’S QUICK HITS
The Frenship Lady Tigers rolled by San Angelo Central 55-24 on Friday night. The win, kept the Lady Tigers dominance going, winning their 28th consecutive District 2-6A game and ran their win streak to 49 straight at home dating back to 2016.
The West Plains Lady Wolves (12-19 overall, 6-7 in 4-4A) were able to gain a game lead on Perryton (12-20, 5-8) for the fourth and final playoff spot out of District 4-4A. The Lady Wolves defeated Dumas 37-31, while the Rangerettes fell to Hereford 46-33. West Plains ends the regular season with Canyon on Tuesday and Perryton takes on Borger. If the two teams both tie for the final spot, a play-in scenario is expected for late next week.
With a 56-34 victory at Tulia, Canadian (23-9, 8-1) clinched at least a share of the District 1-3A championship and will be the No. 1-seed in the Class 3A Division II playoffs. The Dalhart Lady Wolves pulled into a second-place tie in 1-3A and for the Division I top spot with Bushland, after Dalhart beat the Lady Falcons 60-45 on Friday.

The Gruver Lady Hounds finished off District 1-2A with a perfect 12-0 mark thanks to a 48-34 win at Vega on Friday. The Lady Hounds will be the No. 1-seed heading into the Class 2A Division II playoffs.
FRIDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS
- The Canyon Lady Eagles remained perfect in District 4-4A by soaring past Borger 83-26 on Friday. Kambrie Graser did her job, scoring a game-high 20 points for Canyon.
- Canadian’s Kylie Cavalier posted a career-high 31 points that lifted the Lady Cats by Tulia 65-47.
- Farwell’s Kylie McFarland couldn’t miss, registering a game-best 27 points during the Lady Blue’s 69-39 win against Bovina. McFarland had 27 points and was an impressive 12-of-15 from the free-throw line.
- Dalhart’s Joie Reid poured in 19 points in a key 60-45 victory against Bushland during a District 1-3A clash.
- Texline’s Jada Clay had a big night with 15 points, behind the strength of four 3-pointers as the Lady Tornadoes stay perfect in District 3-1A after breezing by Wildorado 52-30.
- Wellington’s Taytum Kane has had a very superb season and that carried on Friday during a 53-19 win over Wheeler. Kane led the Lady Skyrockets with 18 points.
- Taylor Ritter of Groom put together a double-double effort as the Lady Tigers edged Shamrock 41-34. Ritter ended her night, tallying 15 points with 10 rebounds.
- White Deer got a measure of revenge on McLean from a loss earlier in the year. The Does were able to split the season series thanks to a 62-49 victory Friday night. Cooper Cone did her part for White Deer thanks to 19 points.
- Claude’s Shealee Brannon continued her sensational season lighting up Lefors for 26 points during a 90-12 victory.
- Kambri Cleavinger and the Nazareth Swiftettes claimed the District 4-1A outright championship during a 76-29 win against Silverton. Cleavinger finished the night with a team-high 17 points.
