Spearman Lynxettes claim silver medal at UIL girls state golf tournament; Canyon Lady Eagles place fifth

Thanks to two very superb days of competition, the Spearman Lynxettes were able to medal for a second straight year at the UIL Class 2A state girls golf tournament Monday and Tuesday at the Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin.

The Lynxettes finished with rounds of 342 and 360 for a 36-round score of 702, which was good enough for a silver medal. Mason was the team state champion with a two-day tally of 647.
