Weekend top performers

Braeden Williamson and Sam Newman each scored in a 2-0 blanking of rival Tascosa to keep Amarillo High unbeaten in District 3-5A.

Borger clinched its second straight District 2-4A championship by downing Dumas, 5-2. Julian Tarango netted two goals with an assist for the Bulldogs.

Girls

Amarillo High’s Lilly Sobey scored a hat trick and dished out two assists in the Lady Sandies 6-0 win against Tascosa.

Cali Bessent of Randall had two assists to help lead the Lady Raiders past Caprock, 4-1.

Dumas earned its first District 2-4A win blanking Borger 5-0. Arisbeth Loya and Yasmin Marchan eached scored two goals in the Demonettes victory. Marchan added two assists.
