On the pitch: Behind McClain and a talented group of returners the Randall Lady Raiders are unbeaten so far through District 4-4A and one of the top teams in all of Region I. McClain played a key role in helping Randall stay undefeated in district getting a huge win against West Plains then followed that up with a victory against Pampa.

Against the rival Lady Wolves, McClain not only made efficient passing throughout the contest but scored the lone goal on a penalty kick late in the game. On the season, the senior leader has six goals with a team-high 10 assists. McLain is signed to play college soccer at East Texas Baptist University.

Coach Whitney Bernard: “I think we’re really playing well right now. We are passing the ball and finding the right scoring opportunities. Ryan is a big reason for that. She helps control the pace and gives her team different ways to create goals. She reads the game very well and the team trusts her. She has found her voice and become a true leader for this team.”

McClain “We returned a veteran group, and I think that’s a big reason why we’ve been successful so far. We’re moving the ball well and we play together. I think I’ve grown in my confidence from my years on varsity and learned a lot from those before me. Playing with confidence has helped me become a leader and mature on and off the field.”
