Fans, coaches and Amarillo media haven’t stopped buzzing since Friday nights thrilling finish to Amarillo High’s 36-33 win over rival Tascosa in front of 13,000 fans at Dick Bivins Stadium.

What’s being heavily talked about is the final play of the game where Sandies quarterback Will Maynard hit Peyton Conner with a 21-yard scoring pass with four seconds remaining lifting AHS to the win.

Conner’s foot dances with the out of bounds line, however, he was called in bounds on a bang-bang call by the back judge.
