Parker Hall, Bushland football, Jr.

On the field: Since taking over the starting quarterback role in Week 2, Parker Hall has the Bushland Falcon offense flying high. Over the last two games, the junior gunslinger has the Falcons offense putting up 54.5 points a game including a 69-point effort in a 69-40 blowout win at home against Lubbock Christian High School last Friday. Hall was on his game from the first snap torching the Eagles defense by going 27-of-40 for 475 yards with seven touchdown passes to four different receivers. He also led Bushland in rushing with 72 yards. Through the first four weeks, Hall is already making a name for himself completing 87-of-130 passes for 1,267 yards with 16 TD passes to just two interceptions. He’s added 195 rushing yards through those four games with one score.

Coach Josh Reynolds: “We’re playing really good football right now and winning a couple of games helps that moral. To go to Dumas and get a win was huge. We started clicking offensively there and then against Lubbock Christian we were able to put up the yards. Parker has done a great job. He gives us a run threat on top of throwing the ball. Last year, he broke his ankle and had to miss the season and that was tough on him, but Parker is just a competitor. He always puts us in good spots and he knows he has a great offensive line. We’ve have gone 80 straight attempts without a sack, so he knows he can’t do it without his big boys up front.”

Hall: “I feel like we have a lot of confidence as a team and we’re carrying a lot of momentum. We’re just getting better and better and I’m glad to have the team around me I have and the offensive line I have. I can’t do anything without them. I broke my ankle last year and that was tough. I hated being out, but that helped me become a better leader and now getting to play again has helped me settle in and adjust.”
