
TUESDAY’S QUICK HITS
Canyon completed an unbeaten District 4-4A season with a dominating win over rival West Plains 67-24. The Lady Eagles head to the 27-2 overall record and a 14-0 mark in league play.
With a Perryton 53-38 over Borger on top of West Plains loss to Canyon, the Rangerettes and Lady Wolves tied for the fourth and final playoff spot out of District 4-4A. Perryton and West Plains are now set for a play-in game at 6 p.m. Thursday at West Texas High in Stinnett.
Thanks to a 65-47 victory against Lubbock Coronado on Tuesday night, the Tascosa Lady Rebels won the outright District 2-5A championship. The Lady Rebels (29-3 overall, 14-2 in district) head to the Class 5A playoffs as the No. 1-seed in Division I.

Despite an overtime loss to Lubbock Monterey, 71-68, on Tuesday night, the Palo Duro Lady Dons were still able to punch a ticket to the playoffs thanks to Amarillo High defeating Lubbock-Cooper, 55-46. This the first trip to the postseason for Palo Duro (26-10) for the first time since 2023. The Lady Dons will be the No. 2-seed in Division II in the Class 5A playoffs.
Canadian won the outright District 1-3A championship by getting a 60-45 win at home against Dalhart on Tuesday night. The Lady Cats (24-9) finished 9-1 in league play and will be the No. 1-seed in the Class 3A Division II playoffs.
The Wheeler Lady Mustangs claimed the fourth and final spot out of District 2-2A, getting a 67-18 victory over Highland Park.
Groom clinched a spot in the Class 1A playoffs with a 63-61 win against McLean on Tuesday night. Despite the loss, McLean is still alive and will play Shamrock in a play-in game at 6 p.m. Thursday in White Deer for the final postseason spot.
TUESDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS
- Frenship’s Addisyn Bollinger broke her own school record by knocking down 10, 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 32 points in a Lady Tigers 79-21 win against Odessa High.
- Canyon’s Kambrie Grasor lit up West Plains for 26 points during the Lady Eagles 67-24 thumping of the Lady Wolves.
- New Homes’ Kelby Johnson went for 29 points to help the Lady Leopords cap off a perfect District 4-2A championship during a 55-37 win over New Deal.
- Gynn Britten and Taylor Ritter of Groom combined for 39 points in a hard fought 63-61 win against McLean. Britten tallied a game-high 21 points with Ritter following, scoring 18 points.
- Canadian’s Kylie Cavalier continued her stellar play, registering a game-best 22 points during a 60-45 victory against Dalhart.
- Amarillo High’s Tyler Held and Kensleigh Payne combined for 28 points, scoring 14 points a piece, as the Lady Sandies knocked off Lubbock-Cooper 55-46.
- Texline’s Jada Clay buried six, 3-pointers on the way to 25 points during an 82-29 thumping of Hartley.
- Briar Behrens of Claude tallied 20 points in a Lady Mustangs 52-27 win over Shamrock. The victory helped seal a District 2-1A championship for the Lady Stangs.
- Perryton’s Mallee Vela dropped in a game-high 28 points in a key 53-38 win against Borger.
- Bushland’s Berklee Billington carried on a strong season with a game-high 27 points that soared the Lady Falcons past River Road, 84-22.
