A Legacy of Leadership

When Randall High School opened its doors in 1988, Rebekah James wasn’t just starting a new chapter – she was beginning a dynasty. Her 43-year coaching journey, all within Canyon ISD, began at Canyon Junior High before helping establish what would become one of the most respected cross country programs in the Texas Panhandle.

That first state championship in cross country stands as a testament to her dedication, but it was just the beginning of a legacy that continues to grow. In a region known for producing exceptional athletes and coaches, James has consistently kept Randall at the forefront of distance running excellence.
