Due to a referee issue Pampa’s game against Denver City started over an hour late, however, that didn’t throw the Harvesters off their game one bit as they went on to a 73-28 pummeling of Denver City at Harvesters Field on Friday.
Pampa opened the scoring flurry in a hurry, opening a 17-6 first quarter lead, before extending that advantage to 31-6 at half.
Running back Cornelius Landers did what he does, toting the ball 10 times for 93 yards with a touchdown, hauled in two passes for 73 yards with a score and returned a kickoff 80 yards for another TD.
Wide Receiver Hunter Dyer was a mismatch in the secondary snagging seven balls from QB Jack Studebaker for 121 yards and two touchdowns, while Studebaker kept his stellar season intact completing 17-of-22 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns.
Pampa kicker Erick Hernandez stayed busy thanks to the offensive explosion. Hernandez was a perfect 8-for-8 on extra points, and added a 27-yard field goal.

Dumas destroys Levelland
Dumas continued its winning ways thumping by handily thumping Levelland 62-26 at Demons Stadium on Friday night.
The Demons, who are ranked No. 4 in Class 4A Division I, have kept their moment rolling from last season. With the victory Dumas runs its Texas Panhandle-best regular season win streak to 22 straight games as well as proving to be unbelievable at home with a 12 straight home victory.
After a somewhat sluggish start, to the first half against the Lobos (1-3 overall), Dumas tuned up the offense with a 28-point third quarter, highlighted by an Emmanuel Ibanez 48-yard punt return for a touchdown, giving the Demons a commanding 48-12 advantage,
Ibanez was not only great on special teams but had a key night defensively racking up 11 total tackles to go with an interception.
Quarterback Spencer Williams was efficient for Dumas going 8-of-13 for 124 yards with one passing touchdown to go with a rushing TD, while teammate Juan Romero hauled in three passes for 52 yards and a score.
Dumas (4-0) takes on Stephenville (1-3) at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lubbock Cooper.

Canyon beats up Borger
The No. 10-ranked Canyon Eagles continue to impress through the early portion of the schedule.
Canyon had no trouble going on the road Friday night as they routed Borger 40-3 at Bulldogs Stadium.
Canyon improves to 3-0 on the year, and will gear up for a big nondistrict showdown with Midland Greenwood at 7 p.m. Friday at Happy State Bank Stadium.
The Eagles were able to pull away from Borger (0-4) in the games opening 12 minutes scoring 20 unanswered points. Both sides of the ball clicked for Canyon the entire game racking up 405 yards of offense while limiting the Bulldogs to 162 yards. Canyon’s defense also forced Borger into five turnovers, including three interceptions.
Offensively, quarterback Jay Defoor was on point completing 22-of-31 passes for 248 yards and an impressive five touchdowns. Receivers Joe Shaw and Jack McKay benefitted from Defoors passing. Shaw snagged six catches for 90 yards with two touchdowns, followed by McKay who had five catches for 60 yards and a pair of TDs.
Running back Brody Cook had his third straight game going over the century mark, carrying the rock 26 times for 115 yards and a TD.
Borger will try and bounce back at Dalhart (2-2) Friday night.

Matadors run past Herd
University of North Texas commit was too much for Hereford to handle as Steele and Lubbock Estacado ran by Hereford 41-6 on Friday night at PlainsCapital Park-Lowrey Field.
The Matadors (1-3 overall), who were 12-1 a year ago advancing to the Class 4A Division II state quarterfinals, earn their first victory of their year after a rough 0-3 start.
Steele showed off his Division I talent torching the Whiteface secondary for 139 receiving yards on five catches, and ran for 106 yards on four carries.
Steele caught two receiving touchdown passes, one of which were for over 60 yards. He also added a pair of TDs on the ground.
Hereford (1-2) struggle staying in the game falling behind 14-0 at the end of the first, before facing a 27-0 halftime deficit.
The Whiteface offense never found its groove mustering 114 total yards.
Estacado quarterback Jay’lon Dobbins threw for 160 yards with two touchdown passes.
Hereford plays host to Plainview for a nondistrict game at 7 p.m. Friday.
